I see you walking around
A sense of pride so newly found
Your attitude stinks of hypocrisy
You walk up and shake my hand
Pretend that I'm your friend
You're so full of shit, it's plain to see
Don't need you around, I'll stand on my own
Because with friends like you I'd rather be alone
True friends are always around
To pick you up when you're down
When I was there, tell me where were you?
Make nice until you get what you need
Driven by selfishness and greed
I won't fall for it again, you can fuck right off
I could try to wax poetic about Force Majeure ,but simplicity is the only thing that could do this band justice. I love this band for the same reason I love The Templars-- great Oi/Punk music played with that BritPop influence--- well crafted tunes with a wonderful melodic sound-topped off by strong boot to the head vocals. The two sounds marry together so well and just like the Tempmars---- Force Majeure are one of those bands that actually pull it off seamlessly and flawlessly. I am looking forward to hearing more by them and by hopefully finding some vinyl by them available.
THIS IS A MUST HAVE! East Bay Working Class
I keep coming back to this catchy as fuck release! Opening song has a Turbonegro vibe, last song reminds me of The Ruts for some reason, basically they are influenced by a massive chunk of music i hold dear, epic shit dainton
Heady hardcore punk from Black Aubergine has groove, heft, and an experimental edge percolating behind the blown-out surface. Bandcamp New & Notable May 23, 2023
